B.C.’s top Pro’s coming to the Whistler Golf Club

The Whistler Golf Club is proud to be hosting the British Columbia Professional Golfers Association tournament August 30- September 1st. B.C.’s top club professionals will battle it out for a $33,000  prize purse on the 6722 yard Arnold Palmer design.

“The course is in great shape right now” says Alan Kristmanson, General Manager of the Whistler Golf Club. “We expect some good scores but if the wind blows it could be tough out there as our greens will get pretty  firm and quick”

Defending champion Doug Morgan returns to defend his title he won at Crown Isle last year. Bryn Parry is another favorite along with former Whistler resident and past champion Eddie Boudreau.

The public may watch the event free of charge. Monday will see the pros playing in an 8am or 2pm Pro Am. Regular tee times by placing start at 7:30 am on Monday and Tuesday. Another good place to watch will be at the newly rebuilt Range at the Whistler Golf Club. Local Pros playing in the event include Andrew Smart from Nicklaus North and Alan Kristmanson, Ryan Pepper, Duncan Savage, Daniel Ryan and Dan Axford from the Whistler Golf Club.
